If you’re starting to feel like you’ve been staring at the same walls for months now, you could consider mixing things up by painting some of those walls! While, like most things, you’ll likely get better results by hiring a professional, it is very possible to have good results from painting an interior room for yourself. If you want to go for it, it’s a good idea to read up on the project before you start.

For example, what kind of paint will you use? Latex-based paints and oil-based paints look similar, but they have different uses. What quality paint will you choose? Lower-quality paint is cheaper, but it will take more time to apply, and may not be as durable in the long run. What kind of brushes will you use? This one may not make as significant a difference as the other questions, but natural bristles and synthetic bristles do work differently depending on which paint you choose.
